Today we’re happy to announce that we have a fourth regular show host joining us in June!
Raae Wolfram is a dynamic cybersecurity practitioner whose path to the tech industry is as unorthodox as it is inspiring. Born in the Bronx with proud Puerto Rican roots, Raae has carved a distinctive path, marked by grit, pushing boundaries, and a passion for elevating human experiences through technology. Raae’s resilience and innovative mindset have propelled her through roles that span across major institutions like NYU Langone Health, Memorial Sloan Kettering, AWS, and now Microsoft, where she continues to lead and inspire. She is known for her ability to lead teams and projects that bridge gaps between complex technical solutions and user-centered services. With a rich academic background that includes an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and an MPH in Epidemiology from Hunter College, Raae brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her work. She is also currently pursuing her Master's in Cybersecurity from Utica University.
Raae turns personal challenges into powerful catalysts for her career. After overcoming a significant health battle with an aggressive pituitary tumor that required brain surgery in 2016, and undergoing life-changing radiation therapy in 2022, she reaffirmed her commitment to make the most out of life and career. In 2024 alone, Raae has presented at three BSides events, sharing her insights and contributing to the broader conversation on security and empowerment in tech. Her story is not just one of overcoming adversity but of embracing it to forge a path forward, boldly going wherever her skills and passions lead her. Raae continues to explore new frontiers in cybersecurity and beyond, continually pushing boundaries and fostering environments where innovation thrives. Her journey reflects a profound commitment to advancing technology while fostering a vibrant, inclusive tech culture.
